The Light Linear Elegant Minimalist Interior | SUI Design
Softly Refined: Elegant Minimalism at The Light Linear
A gentle home is shaped by more than colour. The most convincing interiors create softness through the way lines meet, how materials reflect light and how every detail works together without demanding attention.
For MELLOW at The Light Linear, SUI Design developed an Elegant Minimalist interior around a warm cream palette and carefully softened forms. The result is clean but not cold, graceful without becoming ornate, and detailed enough to remain visually engaging.
Project: MELLOW — The Light Linear (Type A)

A Cream Palette That Feels Warm, Not Plain
Cream tones give the home a calm and cohesive foundation. Instead of relying on stark white, the warmer undertone creates a more welcoming atmosphere and works naturally with the soft lighting. The restrained palette also allows subtle changes in texture and shadow to become part of the design.
Curved Details Soften Every Edge
Rounded forms reduce the visual sharpness of corners and bring a relaxed rhythm to the interior. These curves are not added as isolated decorative features; they connect with the home’s gentle palette and help the overall space feel more fluid.
In a minimalist home, even a small curve can have a noticeable effect because there are fewer competing elements. Used with restraint, rounded details introduce character while preserving the clean composition.
Subtle French Character Through Mouldings and Textured Glass
Plaster mouldings add fine linear detail to the walls, while a ripple-textured glass door introduces movement and a sense of lightness. Together, these elements bring a hint of French-inspired romance without turning the interior into an elaborate classical space. The treatment remains quiet, balanced and compatible with the minimalist direction.
Marble Patterns and Special-Effect Paint Add Depth
A limited palette needs material variation to avoid feeling flat. Marble-patterned surfaces introduce refined natural movement, while special-effect paint contributes a softer, more tactile visual finish.
Because these accents are used selectively, they enrich the cream-coloured interior rather than overpowering it. The contrast is subtle, but it gives the minimalist setting greater depth and a more polished appearance.
Gentleness That Comes from the Details
MELLOW shows that a soft interior does not need to appear overly sweet or decorative. Its warmth emerges gradually through rounded profiles, delicate lines, layered textures and a consistent cream palette.
